Privacy Policy

Hirte does not collect any data. There are no accounts, analytics, tracking or ads, and the app has no server of its own.
What stays on your iPhone
- SSH keys are created on your device and kept in the Secure Enclave or the iOS Keychain. Private keys never leave your iPhone.
- Machines you add (name, address, user, port) and the host keys of machines you have connected to are stored in the app's local storage.
- Settings such as font size and how terminals are grouped are stored locally.
This data is included in your device backups like any app's data. Deleting the app deletes it.
Network connections
Hirte connects only to the machines you add, over encrypted SSH. What you see and type in a terminal travels between your iPhone and your machine and is not sent anywhere else.
Permissions
- Face ID, if you choose it, unlocks your SSH key. Apple handles Face ID; Hirte never sees your biometric data.
- Local network access lets Hirte reach machines on your own network.
